Obituary of Gladys Schnarr

SCHNARR, Gladys Theresa.

Peacefully passed away at Twin Oaks of Maryhill on Monday, August 12, 2019, at the age of 91 years.  Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Schnarr.  Dear mother of Debra Shaw, Shirley Cardinali (Tony) and Mary Anne Reuel (Scott).  Cherished grandma of Melissa, Jessica and Antonio and great grandma of Quinn.  Predeceased by her parents Anthony and Christine Kocher and her siblings Emma Ditner, Billy Kocher, Florence Dochstader, Cecilia Dietrich, Luella Reitzel, Oscar Kocher and Rita Fritz. 

Gladys was strong in her faith and was active in her church community, including the Catholic Women’s League.  She enjoyed playing different games of cards. Gardening was an enjoyment and she was known to have a green thumb.

The Schnarr family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 9-9:45am followed by transfer to St. Michael’s Parish, 80 University Avenue W.(at Hemlock), Waterloo for Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
