Obituary of Brenda Cowan

COWAN, Brenda

Peacefully passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, August 12, 2019, at the age of 70 years.  Beloved wife of the late Alex Cowan (2007). Loving mother of Janet Dunlea (Trevor) of Ayr and Robin Schmidt (Calvin) of Wellesley.  Cherished Granny of Owen, Nathan and Sophia. Survived by her sister Sue Walsh (Oliver) of Northern Ireland, her sister-in-law Sarah McCullough (the late Billy) of Kitchener and her best friend of 45 years, Marg Steiss. 

Brenda was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland and moved to Kitchener in 1970 where she raised her two children and worked locally as a Financial Services Manager in the auto industry. She was passionate about her work and loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling and going to the casino with her best friend.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Brenda’s life will be held Tuesday August 27th from 6-9pm at Golf’s Steakhouse, 598 Lancaster Street W. Kitchener in the Ballroom.
