Ich habe Walter zwar erst spät kennengelernt, aber es war ein so liebenswerter, vertrauenswürdiger und aufrichtiger Mensch. Leider weiß ich erst seit einigen Minuten, dass er gestorben ist. In meinen Gedanken wird er immer weiterleben und die schönen Erinnerungen bleiben bestehen. Nun ist er auf der anderen Seite des Horizontes, aber eines Tages werden wir alle dort zusammen sein. I'm saddened by the passing of Walter. I thought that I had just met this amazing person recently but have come to realize that he had his business, delta elevator next door to where I spent my pre and early teens years as he rented the house next door to his business to my family. I have many fond memories of him growing up and so wish that I could tell the things that I remember now. I think he would have chuckled at the thought of how small this world is. I hope he is rejoicing with his son and I also hope he realizes how many lives he has touch with his. Sincerely, Dee

Our hearts are heavy to hear of Walter's passing. Walter was a founding member of the Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) with Delta joining CECA as an original member in 1975. Walter was a big part of CECA and sat on the CECA board of Directors from 1996-2001, leading CECA as President from 1999-2001. Walter was an Honorary Member of the association. He was a true gentleman with a wonderful smile who always was willing to provide advice and guidance to those who requested it. I was always grateful for his kindness, thoughtfulness and generousity. He will be truly missed by all in the industry. On behalf of all of the members of the Canadian Elevator Contractors Association, our thoughts and prayers go out to Walter's family (including our current President Doug Guderian) and our friends at Delta Elevator. Please accept our sincere sympathies.
