I was so sad to hear about the loss of Cathy. I was a neighbour across the street on Hemlock since 1978 and lived there when Ian died. Both your mom & dad were lovely delightful neighbours. I moved off Hemlock in 2004 and soon other neighbours began to move also. I remember your mom/dad moving into the apartment corner of University/Shakespeare and from there over to Queen St. Your mom was also in my Sunshine Probus so I got to see and speak with her there most months. She was always so immaculate in how she dressed, not a hair out of place, and always with her makeup. What a classy lady. Even when she had her hip replacement she never complained. She told me she added elegance to her life by using her cane. What a lovely soul. No words can express how sad I feel over your loss. I was not aware your mom was ill. Without a doubt I'm sure she managed her illness in the same demure she always carried with her. Sadly, & with much disappointment, I am not able to physically attend her memorial on Wed Sept 18 but know I will be there in my heart. I'm sure the Henkels will be there. Your mom will be missed in many ways. Cathy may have been small in stature but the world wasn't big enough to hold her generous heart. God Bless
