Obituary of Barry Ray Culbert

Passed away at his home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 79 years.  Beloved husband of the late Harriet Culbert (2016). He was born on May 17, 1940 to the late George and Allie Culbert. Dad is dearly missed by his kids Brian (Karen) Culbert, Brad (Lisa) Culbert, Bev (Shawn) MacMullin and Barb (Billy) Gaul. Cherished by his grandkids Corinne (Josh) Munroe, Courtney (friend John), Brandon (friend Brooke), Mitchel (friend Sydney), Colton (friend Brooke), Emily, Cooper and Laker and his great grandson Nathan. Barry was a sibling of the late Victor (Audrey) Culbert, Velda (the late Les) Howe, George (Shirley) Culbert, and Joanne (Gary) Hamer, and brother in-law of the late Mary Huber, the late Gerald Huber, Arthur (Carol) Huber, Phyllis (the late Wayne) Collins, Janet Voisin (friend Terry Hansler), Shirley (Ron) Dietz, Harry (Janet), David (Pat) Huber, Audrey Dietz (friend Tom Detzler), Larry (Debbie) Huber, Gary (Barb) Huber, Bruce (Teresa) Huber, Wayne (Laurie) Huber and Simon (Karen) Huber.  He will be specially remembered by Donna Huber and Judy Huber and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father and mother-in-law Simon and Loretta (Strauss) Huber, brothers-in-law Garry Dietz, John Calvert, Jerome Voisin, as well as nephews Matt Huber, Greg Dietz, Ben Hamer and godson Mike Calvert. 

Barry was a long-time employee of Kissner Milling and Heimpel Automotive.  He was a strong supporter of his kids and grandkids interests and activities by volunteering and cheering.

Relatives and friends will be received at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Wednesday September 18, 2019 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s RC Church, 85 Strange Street, Kitchener on Thursday September 19, 2019 at 11 a.m.
