Obituary of Eileen Louise Schnarr

(nee Foell)

Eileen passed away peacefully at The Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton with family by her side, on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in her 96^th year.

Born on February 17, 1924 in Waterloo, daughter of the late Alvin and Doris Foell.  Wife of the late Gordon Oscar Schnarr.  Loving mother of Roxanne Jervis (Ken), Randy Schnarr (Jessie), John Schnarr (Mary), Jim Schnarr (Catherine), and Leslie Makin (Gary).  Proud and loving grandmother of Colin, Robin, Sarah, Kara, Matthew, Julie, Kathryn, Cameron, Christa, Kevin and Karyn.  Caring great-grandmother of 20.  Survived by sister Elfreda “Alfie” Wahl, brother Don (Gail) Foell, brother-in-law Eric Ostrander, and sister-in-law Lynne Foell.  Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Ostrander, Mavis Weismiller, and Lorna Sippel, brothers Ken, Cliff, and Denis Foell, brothers-in-law Howard Wahl, Errol Sippel, and Fred Weismiller, sisters-in-law Theresa Foell and Myrtle Foell, and daughter-in-law Mary Schnarr.

Eileen was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Kitchener.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Eileen with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30.  Cremation has taken place.  Immediately following the service, interment will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.  A reception will follow the interment in the funeral home’s Fireside Room.
