COOK, John “Ian”
In loving memory, Ian passed away Friday, October 25th, 2019 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario.
Survived by his wife Alice of 63 years and his children Derek (Lori), Lorraine (Tony), Alasdair (Cheryl). Ian is also survived by his grandchildren Kyle, Kevin, Michael (Rachel), Matthew (Shelby), Nicholas, Megan, Lauren (Kevin) and Melissa (Ryan) and his great-grandchildren Paisley, Chloe and Finley.
Predeceased by his parents William and Janet and his sister Helen and brother William.
Ian, was born in Saltcoats, Scotland on April 9, 1935 where he wed his wife Alice who together had three children. He and his young family immigrated to Canada in 1966 and settled in Toronto. Ian was a proud electrician who worked on notable projects, such as TD Centre, Pickering Nuclear Power Station, Maple Leaf Gardens and Centennial College. In his retirement years he and Alice moved to Elliot Lake and travelled Canada coast-to-coast. In more recent years they relocated to the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
Ian loved his family dearly and will be sadly missed by all.
Cremation will have taken place and a family service will be held.
