Richard Forster

Obituary of Richard Forster

Rick passed away peacefully with his loving family around him, after a lengthy illness, on October 27, 2019, at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton. His life continues with Jesus.

Beloved husband of Frances for 36 years.  Loving Dad to Mary, Linda (Paul), John (Rachel) and a baby in Heaven.

Survived by his siblings Brian (Liz) and Jill (Roy).  He will be remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and loving friends, throughout Ontario.  Faith, family, and friends were his life.

He had a successful career with the Ontario Government for 36 years and volunteered with literacy, Parish organizations, and teaching karate.  Rick was very proud to be a marathon runner, played euchre, camped with his family, and cooked delicious meals.  He had a warm empathetic heart for the needy. Special thanks to Dr. T. Touzel, in Napanee, who was most attentive to Rick’s medical needs.

This Friday, November 1, 2019 which is All Saints' Day, at 1:30 p.m., there will be a Funeral Mass for Rick at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 75 Bluevale St. North, Waterloo.  For those who would like to go to the burial, immediately after Mass, it will take place at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave., Waterloo.  Everyone is invited for coffee at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home at 171 King St. S., Waterloo beginning at 2:45 p.m., followed by a hot meal to celebrate Rick's life, at 3:30 p.m.

We would be grateful for donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Association or St. Agnes Catholic Church, Waterloo, in lieu of flowers. Donations may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or call 519-745-8445.
