1922 – 2019
He has completed his trip on earth with satisfaction.
Bob was a professional Photographer in Waterloo, Ontario for 50 years – Personal Studio – retiring at age 74. He was a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada and USA and volunteered on Waterloo committees EEAC and LACAC. He was a member of the Waterloo Wellington Flying Club for 35 years and COPA. He was an early member of the Waterloo Potters Workshop, a founding member of the Waterloo Community Arts Centre (now Button Factory Arts), and a member of the Waterloo Masonic Lodge since 1960.
Bob was predeceased by his parents George A. and Maude (Townsend) Nicol, his sisters Catherine MacKenzie and Helen Carnegie, the love of his life Marjorie (Gray), and baby Linda Joyce. Also, predeceased by his second wife Rennie Andersen.
He will be sorely missed for his love, kindness and support as a great father by his daughter Judith Hoerle and husband Gary, his son Donald and wife Bonny (Heinrich) Nicol, grandsons Robert A. Nicol, Thomas W. Nicol and wife Susan (Wilhelm) Nicol, granddaughters Cheryl Hoerle and Joanne Hoerle Miller (Brent), great-granddaughters Meaghan and Kristen Nicol, and great-grandsons Wyatt Nicol and Ethan Gray Miller.
At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family celebration of his life at a later date.
