Obituary of May Katherine Sperling

Passed away peacefully on December 1, 2019 at the age of 98.

Will forever remain in the hearts of her children Nancy (Lars), Marilyn (Stephen) Baetz, Tim (Gail), Tom (Deb), Anne Mastnak and Peter (Jann). Grandma to Andrew, Paul, Michael, Matthew, Joel, Julie, Steve, Cheryl, Sandra, Amanda, Laura and 19 great-grandchildren. Sister to Muriel Stauffer. Predeceased by her cherished husband Arthur John Sperling (1965), sisters Louise Sperling, Edith Stiefelmeyer, Bernice Hahn, Marguerite Michel and son-in-law Peter Mastnak.

Graduate of the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital School of Nursing, 1943. Life-long member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Kitchener.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care that May received at Lanark Place, Kitchener.

Friends are invited to share their memories of May with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 2:00pm- 4:00pm, 7:00pm-9:00pm and on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 10:00am – 11:00am. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Ehlebracht officiating. A reception will then take place in the Fireside Room with committal to follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
