Obituary of Mary Ann Doggrell
DOGGRELL, Mary Ann.
Passed away peacefully after a 2½ year courageous journey with cancer at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.
Mary dedicated her life to raising her four girls. She was passionate about volunteering in the gift shop at Grand River Hospital for over 49 years and was active at Glen Acres Baptist Church for many years. Mary enjoyed quilting and knitting for her family and many outreach organizations. Mary is survived by four daughters; Susan (Murray) Kohler, Betty (John) Galbraith, Pat (Tim) Zehr and Kathy (Mike) Smith, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and by her brother David Batcock of Ottawa. Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Bill Doggrell, her parents David and Nora Batcock and her sister Janet Mead.
A Celebration of Mary’s life and faith will be held at Glen Acres Baptist Church, 223 Hartwood Ave., Waterloo on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11am. A lunch and time of fellowship will be held in the Church Hall immediately following the service.
The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Mithoowani and team at the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. Tan, LHIN and the caregivers at Lisaard House.
