I have only the fondest memories of Mrs. Whaley from my childhood. She was full of fun and energy and enthusiasm, and she would always tell it like it is. I had a couple of difficult moments when she told me everything would turn out fine. She just had a way of saying it that made you believe it, and I can still hear her unmistakeable voice in my head when I need it. Apart from my own mom, she will always be my #1 mom role model. My love and condolences to the entire Whaley family.

I remember Diana so fondly from ages ago when she was such a delight in my needlework class at Needlepoint World on King Street. Diana, Sandra, Carla and another lovely woman who unfortunately I can't remember her name were catalysts for such laughter in those classes, I couldn't wait for the following week and was sad when they ended. To the entire Whaley family, we are so heartbroken to learn of Auntie Diana's passing. Although I hadn't had the pleasure of seeing her in years my mind will always remember Diana with smiling eyes and a booming laugh. It was infectious and inviting. I remember the last time we spoke I was heavily pregnant with my twins, and she brought me into fits of giggles discussing all the various scenarios one could go into labor. D.R., Henry, Tabitha and I want to express our deepest condolences to all of you, and tell you how much we love you. She was an extraordinary woman, and her presence will be greatly missed. Diana was adored and loved by family and friends alike. To laugh with her was like hearing sunshine, to be loved by her was like being embraced by an angel, (abate a mischievous one ). She was strong, gentle, kind, loving and generous to a fault. And I loved her with all my heart. I’m so thankful to have had Diana in my life, and for me she was the most wonderful mother that I ever knew. She was loved. Her passing will leave a whole in many heart. I’m so very thankful to have so many incredible memories of Diana, ( that span almost 50 years).
