She was a registered nursing assistant at the Hamilton General Hospital for most of her working career.  Along with her husband Martin they moved to Hamilton in the 1950’s where they chose to reside and raise their daughter Lorraine.  For many summers they made the family trip back to their Acadian roots in the French community of Mavillette, Nova Scotia where they purchased a summer home in the nearby community of Meteghan by the ocean and local wharf. From there, they enjoyed daily walks and visitations from their family and friends to enjoy the local news and share memories of days gone by.  She was very devoted to her Catholic background and attended church on a regular basis right up to the end while in the nursing home.  Her visits from her great grandchildren were cherished and all her devoted family will miss her terribly. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener, especially Dr. Peet, for their devoted and unprecedented care during the years she was living there and the compassion and understanding during her illness.

Burial will take place in Hamilton, Ontario at Eastlawn Cemetery to lay with her devoted husband Martin.  As a result of the existing pandemic, there will be a future celebration of life to be decided by the family at the appropriate time.
