Doug,
I just read this morning about the passing of your father on April 6th.
My condolences to you, your sister, your sister-in-law and the rest of your family.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with your dad over the years. He was a wonderful story-teller and I heard many of his stories - some several times. He also had a great sense of humour and positive outlook on life.
I have made a donation in your dad's memory.
Kind regards,
Dan Cardy

My heartfelt condolences to Doug, Deb and extended family. Uncle Bill and Aunt Shirley were very good to me and made a difference in my life. I’ll never forget my visits in the summer as a child to attend Summer Vacation Bible School and going with them to see Expo 67. The Gerth summer picnics and Christmas family gatherings were also very special. I will remember Uncle Bill as a very thoughtful, kind and intelligent man who instilled strong family values.

We want to offer all of you our deepest sympathy as you mourn the passing of a dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather. We have many memories of time spent with Uncle Bill over the years. His infectious laugh and the love he had for his family and friends are a distinct memory for us. We will hold especially dear the memories of the last few visits we had with him in Wiarton. We pray for God’s peace and comfort for all of you in the days and weeks ahead.
