To Maure's family: I was so sad to hear of Maure's passing. I live at 914 Yonge and was a Neighbour of hers for over 30 years. She was indeed a character with a great sense of humour. I recall way back when we were all working and there would be a number of people on the elevator....she got on one day and cheerily said "Good Morning"!!! In true Toronto fashion, everyone mumbled something that may have sounded like good morning. Maure promptly gave us hell...and declared "We are neighbours for gosh sakes, can't we say hello to each other". We were all ashamed, however, it didn't change overall elevator behaviour, EXCEPT when anytime Maure got on the elevator, like obedient school kids we all loudly and clearly said "Good Morning"! I so enjoyed her vibrant personality and her 'say it as it is' manner. Rest well, my friend!

That was definitely Maure. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
