I just learned of Fred's death. My deepest belated sympathies to his family and friends.
Among his other qualities, Fred was also a great mentor. I have had a very successful legal career and I feel I owe Fred much for his guidance when I was a law student.

Fred and Carly Jeffery would like to express their deepest condolences for the loss of Fred.
Fred and Fred attended school together and later in Algonquin Park and in the railcar. These connections as well as cottages in Southampton helped them form a bond and friendship that lasted more than 60 years.
Fred and Carly have many wonderful memories that have been made throughout a lifetime with Fred and Marie. Fred will be missed.

To the Kirvan Family,
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I’ve known Fred all my life, previously as my father’s employer while growing up, and ultimately caring for our family’s legal needs. Fred had a remarkably genuine and caring nature. His sincerity in his affable interactions with others and dedication to the community will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with you and wishing you comfort at this difficult time. Kind Regards, Heather (Burkholder) and Peter Jennings and family.

The Volunteer Association of St. Mary's Hospital is so indebted to Fred for his advice and encouragement as we set up our Tim Horton's franchise at the hospital. Fran Walton and I always appreciated Fred's calm approach to any problems we had on the way. Today the franchise is very successful, in no small part , to Fred's input in the early years.
I know this example is just one of many ways Fred gave to our community. He was not a only a Queen's Counsel but a Community Counsel. A kind, caring and generous man,he will be dearly missed.

To my dear old friend Kate, and your family.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was such a kind and smart man. I remember him so well from our high-school days and spending time at your house. He was generous with his time and knowledge - not something readily found these days. Losing a loved one is difficult at the best of times. However, amidst a pandemic, not being able to grieve with others and have their presence around you is even more difficult.
Take care.

Fred was highly respected as a lawyer and he assisted me on several occasions to resolve Estate issues. March Madness was an event Fred and I shared,we would ponder our choices and lament how quickly our individual choices collapsed, saying next year will be different.

My sincere sympathy to the family on the passing of Fred. I was associated with Fred for many years in a number of business matters and always found him to be a thorough, kind and understanding gentleman. He was a fine representative of the legal profession. He also appreciated humorous anecdotes. He often mentioned various members of his family and was extremely proud of them.
