Obituary of Arline Miller
September 20, 1936 – April 21, 2020
Jane “Arline” Miller, 83, of Waterloo, Ontario passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario on April 21, 2020.
Loving and cherished Mother to her son Robert William Miller (wife Karen Miller) and daughter Nancy Jane Miller (husband Marino Filiplic), grandsons Scott Miller and Jeffrey Miller. Sister of Lonna Holosko (husband Greg) and sister-in-law of Marilyn Oswin (husband Gary) and family.
Arline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, William (Bill) A. Miller, her parents Bill and Reta Harrison and in-law parents Bill and Doris Miller.
Arline was born in Mimico, Ontario and attended Shaw Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Law & Miller Limited for a number of years.
After retirement, Arline enjoyed being part of the Senior’s Day Program in Waterloo. She did volunteer work with the Dorset Lions Club as Secretary and assisted with the various dinners, bake sales, and Dorset Snowball winter carnival. She was Treasurer of the Dorset Senior’s Club and had fond memories of being a member of the PROBUS Club of Huntsville. She was also a member of St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Etobicoke along with her late husband Bill, before moving from Toronto to Kawagama Lake.
Arline loved her family, and country living on Kawagama Lake. She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles, playing bridge, golf and nature. Arline cherished being with family on the dock and she enjoyed swimming in the lake, fishing, boating and snowmobiling. Arline was an avid dog lover throughout her entire adult life. Arline was always willing to lend a helping hand and to lend an ear to friends and family.

Cremation has taken place, and due to COVID-19, a service or Celebration of Arline’s Life will be held at a later date.
