My Sweet Aunt Gert,
She was so special to me and brought so much laughter into my life with her funny, quirky ways. I will treasure the beautiful sweaters she knitted for me, and the dozens of face clothes I still use. Aunt Gert had one of the first stained glass lamps I made, it was far from perfect but it hung in her home for many years. Every time I visited Green Acres Park, Aunt Gert would come to Aunt Essie’s and we would sit in the glide swing (unless it was the middle of winter) and we would laugh and talk for hours. I will miss her dearly but I am sure she is back in her swing with her sisters Lillian, Essie, Lexie and brother Don.
