Please accept our sincerest condolences on the death of your dear mother. What an interesting and outgoing

I am blessed to call Muriel a friend. My mother Marg Meyer was Muriel's friend long before I was. Muriel liked to say her oldest friend in Waterloo was our mother as she was the first to welcome her to the neighbourhood when she and Bob moved to Waterloo.
In the later years of Muriel's life, Muriel also included my brother Peter and me. We enjoyed bridge, lunch, visits on the deck or in the living room and wonderful Christmas invitations with their family and friends. Muriel and Greg have always been gracious hosts.
It meant a lot to Peter and me when three years ago, Marg, our dear mother died, and Muriel, Jennifer and Greg attended the funeral and reception. So comforting to know such a good and long time friend and her family were there to support us.
I will miss Muriel. I'm sorry we were not able to be with you Greg, Jennifer and Richard to celebrate her life. Muriel was one in ten million. God bless.

After watching the lovely and meaningful service for Muriel today, I feel I just had to share this. I frequently walk The Iron Horse trail near my home and have never seen a cardinal in two years. But last Friday evening, so calm and serene, my friend and I heard the distinctive call several times. Took a few minutes to find where it was coming from, but way up on a hydro pole, there was a beautiful red cardinal looking down on us singing away. I didn't think anymore about it until today when Gregory mentioned seeing the cardinal in" Muriel's tree." How comforting.

A true lady, fun-loving, sincere and loyal. It was my honor to have worked alongside her for many years both at UW and the University of Waterloo Retirees Association (UWRA). My deepest sympathy to the family. Rest in peace dear Muriel, you deserve the best.
