It is with sadness and sorrow that I read of Samantha's passing today. Our family moved into the Westmount area in the late 60's and the Patterson family lived two blocks away from us. Our childhood days were marked by neighbourhood fun, camaraderie and sharing daily happenings while walking to and from Alexandra Public School. Our journeys continued at McGregor and at KCI. There was always activity and laughter in and around the Patterson home! That energy has stayed with me all of these years! More recently I have had the great pleasure of reconnecting with Fanny and having taught Violet, Anastasia and Eva at KCI. During this difficult time, our family would like to offer yours our deepest sympathy. May you be comforted by loving support, words of compassion and cherished memories. Those we love we carry in our hearts forever.
With caring thoughts,
Catherine Anagnostopoulos (Paradis) and Family

Reading the notice of Samantha's passing in today's Record prompts me to send sincere sympathy to all the Patterson family, Larry, and your children. I think we met at one of the events for her mother's books, and I know Samantha's caring for both parents meant a great deal to everyone. May happy memories comfort you in the coming days and months.

I was so sad to hear of Samantha's passing. I babysat Sam and her siblings in the 70's and have keep in touch over the years at St Columba Church. She would bring her family and Dad on Sundays sitting in the back pew below one of the many wall hangings her Mom created.
There are so many things I admire her for: her humility, grace, faith, strength, courage and most importantly her love of family. That will be her legacy!
Samantha Consuelo you will be missed but never forgotten. You have joined the angels overlooking us. May you Rest In Peace.
My Blessings to her family, Love Judy Snider

My good friend Emmanuel told me that his sister Samantha had peacefully passed away .
I was on a busy construction site with my young employees .
I started to cry .Young man beside me asked if I was Ok.
I'm Ok because I remember and knew Samantha for short but special period of my life.
I remember a beautiful young girl who lived in an old yellow house on William st.
I remember a pretty girl with a great smile and an amazing head of curly hair .
I remember eyes that sparkled with life and also showed a good soul beyond her years .
I remember a young girl that was sweet and fun but also strong and determined .
I didn't know Samantha as much when she matured into beautiful woman .
I regret that .
My wife Debra and I loved Samantha and were very sad beyond words that she left us .
The Patterson family is diverse but full of love and I know that love is surrounding Larry and his children now

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we hear of Sam's passing. It is with deep joy and gratefulness that we have known her. She was a treasure and a gem at St. Columba. Her wisdom, faithfulness and kindness will never be forgotten. During these very difficult times and when it is hard to mourn in the traditional ways, we want you, the family, to know that each of you are in our hearts and prayers. We send our deepest condolences, virtual hugs and eternal love. We hope and pray that you will feel the peace that passes all understanding and the love of God in a very personal and deep way. We cling to our hope of all being together again, after this part of our journey is over. Then we will be reunited in love for eternity. God Bless you and please reach out if there is anything at all that we can do, now or in the months to come.
Our deepest sympathy, Sunny & Boyd Field
