I met Mike in February of 2004 when I started work as an electrician at the University of Waterloo. Having worked as contractor at the University prior to being hired by the University he had a great deal of knowledge of the campus and the equipment required to keep it running . I will always remember Mike as one of the first people to offer to show me around and help me in my early days on campus. I was on the Preventative Maintenance Crew with Mike for years and had the privilege of working with him on a regular bases. We had a lot of good times working together and he was one of those guys you could always count on to get the job done. The only issue we had with Mike was when someone would have to take apart a piece of equipment that Mike had worked on previously they would have difficulty getting the nuts and bolts apart because he would put them together so tight not knowing his own strength . To this day when the guys that worked with Mike on the PM crew are having difficulty getting something apart one of us will say , Mike must have put this together ,with a laugh. We will miss you , My condolences to your Family, Rest in peace Mike. Oh, I almost forgot Mike the Motor sheets are still screwed up,

Sincere Condolences to Robbie, Tyler and Cody on behalf of the Waterloo Minor Baseball Association Executive, Coaches and Players. Mike shared his baseball knowledge with many youngsters, giving his time and energy, improving their baseball skills. Waterloo was blessed to have him as a coach and mentor. I have been gifted to have met Mike and even more to have worked with him,
a highly skilled man that many respected and trusted, and a Stellar Athlete.
Mike always made time for others and had no problems rooting a smile for those in need.

I was so saddened to hear about Mike's passing. I met Mike when I started going to Crunch fitness in 2017. On first glance Mike looks a little intimidating to people, tattooed jacked guy walking around the gym. But soon after you talk to him you realize this is truly a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and would give the shirt off his back for anyone he holds close. He told stories of how he started going there when it was Popeyes (the stone age) and we would laugh about our surroundings. Mike and I kept in touch through his battles even though I had stopped going to Crunch, and through talking and laughter we would always try make light of the situation. He gifted me his lifting belt and knee wraps and I always think of him and will carry them close. The world needs more Mike Mulder's in it. My most heartfelt condolences to his family. He will be truly missed.
