Obituary of Valerie Bernard
We have lost a kind and beautiful woman.
Valerie Persephone Bernard, 73, of Kitchener, passed away peacefully on September 23 2020, at Lanark Place Long Term Care, Kitchener.
Devoted loving mother to Curtis Bernard, Chris Bernard, and Chad Bernard. Dear grandmother to Nevaeh, Aanya, Makayla, Miyah, Jasmyn and Mariah Bernard. Lovingly remembered by her sister Jackie John, Valerie loved all of her children, grandchildren and family.
Valerie was born in Georgetown, Guyana to Eileen King on December 17, 1947. She worked for the police force in Guyana then worked as a P.S.W. until retirement.
Valerie was a long-time and active member of Kitchener Church of God now Kingdom Community International Church. She believed in serving Christ and helping others and found many ways to do so over her lifetime.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, church, teaching Sunday school, sewing, creating beautiful outfits for herself and family and cooking. Her taste in music varied but had to be Christian.
Throughout her life she enjoyed many friendships. She is remembered very fondly – for her kindness, genuine caring and great love for people and Christ.
