I am sorry to hear of Helmuth's passing. We met in the mid 70s at WLU. He was organizing a booth for the Young Socialists on campus and I stopped to chat with him and hear his views. Being a writer on the Cord Weekly, the student newspaper, I believe I wrote a story about YS the next week. I really appreciated his insight and thoughtful reflection on politics of the day. Although our last names are the same, there is no connection, at least not recent, my family having immigrated in the 1840s. My acquaintance with Helmuth was relatively brief but obviously impactful. My thoughts are with his family.
