My sincere condolences to all of Brad's immediate and extended family. I first met Brad back when I joined Mutual Life and we played on the men's softball team for a season. For the last several years he was a member of our annual foursome at the Mutual/Clarica 50+ golf tourney. He will be remembered as a very friendly guy with a big heart.

Brad was a long time volunteer for the Westvale Community Association, and we all mourn the loss. Along with his wife and son, Brad was one of the organizers and all-around coach for the Westvale Family Fun Softball games every summer Saturday night for more than 10 years.
Brad had a special kind and engaging way with the kids. He was particularly helpful and gentle to the children who were playing baseball for the first time, showing them the basics and encouraging each one personally. Brad invented the unique Westvale rule that kids under 12 always get to 1st base, which focused on the simple joy of just playing the game. Brad was also the inspiration for expanding the season from 2 months to 4 months, and the families and kids responded in droves.
For me personally, Brad was a inspiration in working with kids of all ages those Saturday nights over the years. He will be sorely missed but not forgotten the next time we are able to return to the diamond behind Westvale School.
I hope the sun is shining and the kids are having fun where you are now Brad!

When I was little, Brad and Paul would do 'magic' tricks and change a glass of milk into a chocolate bar. I don't know which one drank the milk, but I was always happy to receive the chocolate bar when the abracadabra was said and I was allowed to open my eyes. Rest in peace, Brad. Love, Annie.
