Obituary of Bento Neto

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday, November 9, 2020, age 71.

Bento was born in Chainca, Portugal to Jose and Conceicao. Beloved husband of Maria for 46 years and much loved Dad to Margarete (Adam) and Paul (Brenda). Proud Grandpa of Sienna, Michael, Nicholas and Rachel. Dear brother of Moises, Zilda, Jose, Luis, Lucia and Maria. Bento will be sadly missed by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Bento always greeted you with a smile, loved to garden, had a passion for his soccer team Benfica and was proud to be a part of the Portuguese-Canadian Community. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, to attend the funeral mass for Bento, personal face coverings are required, and relatives and friends must register (RSVP) by calling the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at 519-745-8445. A private family visitation will take place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes RC Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Aleksander Mazur as Celebrant. A private family interment will immediately follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
