Condolences on the loss of a very good man. I'd have recognized him anywhere, though it's been decades since I was at the Record. Mr. Motz shared himself and his good fortune with others, giving Kitchener-Waterloo a level of culture not seen in other cities, at a time when "culture" hardly touched the radar outside major centres.

I remember Bill as a witty, kind and gentle man.
Even though he was a member of the family that owned The Record at the time, he treated me (a rookie photographer) as a colleague.
My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends.

Dear Doreen, Liz, John and Heather, and members of the Motz family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy at the loss of your dear husband and father, Bill. I remember the occasions that our paths crossed, and recall his kindness, gentleness, and attentiveness. He contributed so much to the life of Kitchener-Waterloo through his profession, his philanthropy, and his sharing of his time and talents. I will keep him in my prayers, and also all of you, that you may all have consolation and peace from our shared faith in the resurrection of Jesus, which Bill believed in. God bless you all!
Very Rev. Paul S. Voisin, C.R.
