I met Jeanette in 2003.when she came to visit my sister in hospital. This pretty lady peeked in the door and introduced herself,as a friend of my sister. They became friends at church.Irene woke up and we visited.Little did I know that I would become more connected to her later. My sister lost her battle..but in the mean time my nephew
met Janettes daughter Beth and a little more than a year later,Beth became my niece.

Back in the mid 1970’s, I had the privilege of becoming a frequent guest (truly I felt more like family) in the Bridle household. I really doubt I would have made it through nursing at “Mac” without their love and acceptance. “Mrs B” has been one of my most treasured friends. . She modelled hospitality and a Christian heart. “ See you on the other side Mrs B”, I love you.

Dear Bridle Family....Marjorie and I are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jeanette. We all had such great memories together as a large extended church family. Times at the cottage, many great dinners and barbecues. Some exciting times with fireworks...like the time the box of fireworks caught fire and we were all in the middle of a light shower...thank goodness now one was hurt....remember the time Marjorie was playing the violin and we were all singing and the dog you has started to howl....I am laughing just remembering the incident...it is still fresh in my mind...we know that we will be able to share great moments together later on but right now I hope we can all fondly remember the great times an the goodness of the Lord. May the God of all comfort fill your hearts at this time and may the Joy of the Lord be your strength......Larry and Marjorie MacDonald

To all of the Bridles, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I have many memories of time spent at your home when we were little, sharing silly stories, lots of giggles, and enjoying home baking and treats. Walking up Cline Avenue to your place on Sterling street was an epic adventure back then. Thinking of all of you in this sad time.

It was sad to read of Jeanette's passing in today's Hamilton Spectator. Jeanette and I worked together for a number of years in real estate in Hamilton and Ancaster. Jeanette was a very decent, moral and kind person and only sought to do the best for her clients. I know she also enjoyed entertaining at her lovely home on Sterling Street in Westdale and could serve up a storm of food! She enjoyed good friendships with many of her real estate colleagues and was very well respected in our industry and, more importantly, for the person she was. I will remember her with great fondness. My warmest sympathies to your family.

What a perfect and lovely photo of Jeanette and it is how i will always remember her. Her beautiful smile was always so warm and welcoming. I first met Jeanette and then Brian, John and Bonnie through Beth, who came to study at KWH over 30 years ago and it has been my privilege and joy to count this wonderful family as friends who have so enriched my life and the lives of many others. Jeanette's pride and love for her growing family of sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law and then grandchildren was evident and they have all added such richness to her life. I know she will be missed and it is with heartfelt sympathy that i give my condolences at this sad time. But i also know that her presence will always be felt and welcomed into the hearts of her loved ones and those that she counted as friends in life. Dorothy Shewan.
