Lisa and Jill (and your families), I remember your mother as one of the kindest, most soft-spoken and lovely people I've known in my life. As a kid, I loved visiting Helen and Duane because they were always so interesting and kind-hearted. Your mom had a wicked sense of humour which she used selectively to great effect. As parents, they raised two spectacular daughters.

To the Family of Helen Sweeney: You don't know me, but I was just scrolling thru this website and for some reason, your mother's picture made me stop and look at her obituary. Then when I read that she was the Head Nurse at St Mary's nursery, I realized why she looked familiar. Back when I had my first baby (42 yrs ago), I was having such a struggle with feeding her. A very beautiful dark haired woman appeared at the end of my bed (like an angel) after a particularly rough feed and identified herself as the Head Nurse and so lovingly talked me through my issues. I was so appreciative of her calm, helpful nature.....I remember it like it was yesterday. My sympathies are with you in the loss of your dear mother. Sincerely, Shelley Gottwald
