Obituary of Jean Fritz

Jean died peacefully at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the age of 94.

Predeceased in 1977 by George, her loving husband of 30 years, and in 1955 by her son Gerald. Also predeceased by brother Carl Roth in 1994 and by her parents Charles and Mary Roth. Jean is survived by sons Donald (Linda), Connecticut, and Paul, Port Coquitlam, and daughter Pamela Graham (Brian), Kitchener.

An always amazing “Gram” to her eight grandchildren - Maggie, Patrick, Caitlin, Conor, Laura, Christopher, Angie and Danielle and “Gram-Gram” to 12 great-grandchildren.

Jean was a resilient Waterloo lass; an avid gambler in games of cribbage, solo and euchre - especially when up-country; a competitive partner with long-time friends playing social bridge; an enthusiastic curler for years at Glenbriar; a keen golf member at New Dundee; and as a faithful friend playing cards at Rockway Senior Centre.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A liturgical service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener will follow.

The family will plan a Celebration of Life for the summer.

The family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at The Village at University Gates for the kindness and care they provided our mother.
