Rick was always showing off his fishing pictures, but its easy to catch the same fish over & over, year after year, when you know which hole he lives in !!!
BUT he did have one really good skill !!!!!!!!!!!!

My deepest sympathy Yvette,Brian,Lynn,Dave and Dale
Ric's passing came as a bit of a shock to me ,I didn't know he was that sick.
As I think back to all the parties and the halarity of the 70's, O.M.G you could write a book. The countless hours of standing on frozen lakes, and trolling hundreds of miles on the Nottawasaga River will be forever remembered.
Ric was a good man, and a good friend.
He will be truly missed
Should we ever see an end to this pandemic,it would be wonderful to see you folks again

I met Ric for the fist time I believe in the early 2000's. i was looking for a receiver for Marks Supply and met him at the Army Navy Club for a pint. Right from our first meeting I thought, "this guy has sass!" and I loved it!
Over the years being his manager, whenever you wanted to get the heartbeat of what was going on you'd just go out to the yard and have a smoke with Ric and he'd tell you exactly what was happening.
After he retired he would still come in and see me and show me his current fishing pics which i always like seeing and always was happy he stopped by.
They don't make them like him anymore. He will be sorely missed.

We moved to Alberta 40 years ago and, while it was tough to stay connected to family, Ric was always able to make the effort to come and see us when we were in Kitchener. My daughters to this day have memories of “you remember your cousin Dad, you know the one who always showed us his toe”. I appreciated Ric who just recently made it clear to me that I was always his cousin and adopted brother. I love him for that and will never forget him.
Love to Yvette for ever...keep up the “View from the top”.

He was one hell of a fisherman, and teacher of all things fishing. I will truly miss his "trips from hell stories".
