My deepest sympathy to all of Uncle Art's family. Uncle Art and Aunt Vera were my God parents and I have very fond memories of them as both being very warm and positive people who lived life to the fullest. Growing up I always enjoyed family visits at Vera & Art's home, the pool table and work shop in the basement were of particular interest to me. As a very young child I received a gift of a wooden rocking horse made by Art. Fifty + years later this rocking horse ending up in Ralph and Helen's basement in Wellesley and my 1-2 year old Grandson Oliver was quite taken with it. After hearing the history of this rocking horse Oliver's parents somehow made a connection with Art (I don't know how this happened) and he offered them the same style rocking horse for Oliver from his collection of items made in his workshop, attached is a photo of Oliver on his own "Uncle Art made" rocking horse.
