I would extend my deepest condolences to the Fletcher Family, I am saddened to read of his passing.
My friendship with Brian date back to our days in Sudbury, he was a dedicated Union representative at the Sudbury Star(which was notorious for its' anti-union/worker philosophy). He worked diligently to protect his members, he negotiated good contracts and overall enhanced the working lives of his members not only in Sudbury but also Ontario.
Brian always had a quiet demeanor but also possessed a steely resolve to find solutions and remedies in a otherwise adversarial environment.
We have lost a friend, mentor and just a really genuine honest human being. He wasn't such a bad golfer either!
