Passed away peacefully, at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 92 years.

Geri is predeceased by her beloved husband of 49 years, Herbert (1997). She is survived by her daughter Patti Leis and her son Terry (Jane) Leis, grandchildren Cory Leis (Karine Choiniere), Colin Leis (Erika Holenski), Krista Leis and Catherine Leis as well as great grandchildren Norah and Decklan.  

Geri was the last surviving member of her family predeceased by her parents Conrad and Jemima (nee Miller) Stumpf, her brothers Willard, Stanley, Ronald, Kenneth, Cecil and Harry, and sisters Margaret, Reta, Beatrice and Bernice.

Geri was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  She loved music and was a dedicated member of the church choir. She had a fulfilling career at the Waterloo Region District School Board retiring in 1993.  Geri enjoyed home improvements in both her home and the family cottage. 

The family wishes to extend their most sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Winston Park for the exceptional care shown to Geri during her time there.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 3:30 pm. A livestream and recording of the service will be available at www.erbgood.com by selecting Geri’s tribute page.  Cremation will have taken place and Interment will be at Rushes Cemetery later in the spring.
