Tea peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 15, 2021 at the age of 92. Devoted wife of Wilhelm (Bill) Kermer for 68 years. Loving mother of Mark (Sandy), Ralph (Shelley), Craig (Jenny), Nanette (John) and Brenda (Jim). Loved Oma of Jamie (Shayna), Krista (Trish), Lindsey, Ryan (Jessica), Katie (Thomas), Christopher, Samantha (Harrison), Cynthia and Nicole and Great Grandma to Kiera. Born in Amsterdam Dec 11, 1928, Tea bravely immigrated to Canada in 1953 with Bill. They started a life in the Port Colborne region before eventually settling in Waterloo in 1970. Tea had been active in Scouting during her early years in Canada. She worked at Woolco at Fairview Mall, starting as a clerk and advancing to assistant store manager by her retirement. She loved camping, gardening, travelling and most of all spending time with her large and noisy family.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Telfer Place in Paris, Ontario for their compassionate care of Mom.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 1-3pm. A service will follow at 3:30pm, in the chapel of the funeral home. Due to covid restrictions, attendance is limited and those wishing to attend the visitation and/or funeral service will be required to wear a personal face covering and RSVP to the funeral home at 519-745-8445. A Livestream of the Funeral Service will be available at www.erbgood.com on Saturday, March 20, 2021 beginning at 3:25pm.
