Obituary of Robert "Bob" Fitzgerald

It is with such sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father.  Dad passed away at St. Joseph Palliative Care Unit in Guelph on Monday, March 15, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Jean (nee Snider).  He is survived by his brother Don of Waterloo.  Dad will be truly missed by his daughters Brenda (Tom) Stockie of Southampton, Karen Kent of Guelph, and Lynda (Don) Harry of Southampton.  “Grandpa Bob” will also be lovingly remembered and missed by his grandchildren Ryan, Emily (Evan), Rebecca (Elizabeth), and Adam and all of his great-grandchildren.  He will also be missed by his extended family members.

Dad was a member of Erb Street Mennonite Church, Waterloo and an adherent of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Southampton.

Following cremation, a private immediate family service took place. A committal service will be held at a later date.

Special thanks to Dr. Martins, and Dr. Shafir, Parkwood Retirement Home Staff in Waterloo and St. Joseph Palliative Care Unit Staff in Guelph who supported, loved and cared for our dear father.
