It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad, Poppa, and Great Poppa, William (Bill) Lavery, at the age of 90, while surrounded by family at his home. He joins his beloved wife Reta Johnston 2005, grandson Tim Lavery 2007, son-in-law Sheldon LaPointe 2019, and granddaughter Stephanie Gaffney 2020.

Much loved father of Patti-Jo Lavery-Verkley (John), Peggy LaPointe, and Lynda Miller (Andy). Proud Poppa to Christopher (Sabrina), Brandon, Nathan, Patrick (Alisha), Andrew (Cherie), Dave, Tracy, and grandson-in-law Dave. Great Poppa to William, Phee, Tru, Talon, Kingston, Hailey, Taylor, Kylie, Josslyn, Maverick, Auston, Kendrick, and Jaylen.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Ivy Lavery, brother Robert March 18, 2021 (Betty), and sisters Yvonne (Laverne) and Jeanette (Ross). He will be sadly missed and remembered by his family, nephews, nieces, good friend Jean, neighbours, and golfing buddies.

Dad was an avid golfer and you could find him playing three times a week at Doon Valley Golf Course up until October of 2019, until he was diagnosed with cancer in May of 2020. He also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, horseshoes, and fishing at the cottage. Dad was a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Blue Jays, and enjoyed watching or going to a game from time to time. He loved to discuss all the trades and games with the boys. He also enjoyed watching golf and amazed at how far they can hit the ball now a days.

Dad enjoyed Sunday dinners at his daughters' homes to catch up and spend time with the family along with playing his weekly Cribbage games with Andy.

Special thanks to the London Cancer Centre, Dr Cescon, Dr Harlick, and the LHIN Palliative Care Team.
