Mrs Fritz was a wonderful lady who always made me feel at home --and as a shy young girl I didn't often feel that way. She had a sense of serenity even in such a busy household. She also made great butter tarts! I'm sure the world is a better place not just because she was here but also because she set a great example for us to strive for. I'm so glad our families connected! Love to you all.

Dear Eileen, Glen and Family
Cherished and fond memories are what my Mom and I have of your Mother, Eileen. She was such a kind and gentle person and remembering how much fun our mothers had while stuffing thousands of pledge packages brings a warmth of memories to our hearts. May her endless love for all of you forever bring you peace. Chris and Norma (Please give Tom and Bette our heartfelt condolences as well.)

We would like to extend our condolences to Doretta's family. My family (the Conrads) grew up with the all the Fritz children and your father Bob was my father's longtime friend and best man at his wedding. Doretta was always a kind and generous person who cared deeply for her family and for helping others. You were truly blessed to have such a mother in your family.

My heart reaches out to the family as you honour and reflect on the many blessings shared by your mom and grandmother. I was lucky enough to have been in the Fritz family fold for many years. I often felt like the ninth child. Mr. and Mrs. Fritz always made you feel like you were an extension of the family and there was always a spare chair at their very full table. I spent many an Easter dinner with the family, and remember Mr. and Mrs. Fritz debating whether it was wise to have bought a diabetic a 1 lb. solid chocolate rabbit. When I close my eyes I can hear with such clarity the melodic, soothing voice of Mrs. Fritz. She spoke with love and caring and her hugs just wrapped you like a warm blanket. She had a twinkle in her eye, a quick smile and a genuine interest in others. Your parents had such a profound impact on my formative years, as I spent many hours with Eileen hanging out at your home. I was so glad to have had a lovely visit with Mrs. Fritz pre-covid in her room and had such a wonderful time sharing fond memories. She has left such a lasting legacy and her grace and kindness has been sprinkled with everyone she encountered. I will honour her memory and the strong impact she had on my life. I hope that you all find strength and comfort in knowing that she surpassed her life's purpose. You are in my thoughts and prayers - God bless!

Our family, the Hinschbergers, lived down the "garden path" from the Fritz family. Our mothers shared a passion for church quilting, CWL participation, helping at funeral lunches at Our Lady of Lourdes, and together they solved life's problems. When mom was a patient at Freeport hospital, Doretta made a quilt for her hospital bed, a constant reminder of the friendship they shared.
Fondly,
Jane Grieb

We would like to send our condolences to all of Doretta’s family. It was nice to see and hear how close her family are.
We have one fond memory of Gene and Maureen bringing Bob and Doretta out to our home in Alma to go fishing in our trout pond. We had a nice visit with both of them. Doretta will be missed. Hang on to the dear memories. Reading her obituary we know what a great family and life she lived giving of herself, what an accomplishment. Rest In Peace Doretta.
With Sympathy. Rick and Caron Logel

I was filled with gratitude when I read your mom's obituary in Saturday's paper; gratitude for a life well lived, a family who cared well for her right to the end, and that she was able to get to the hospice where more of you could be with her. I wish you well as you mark & grieve the passing of your mom and remember all that she accomplished in her life.

Dear members of the Fritz family,
I was sorry to hear today the passing of your dear Mom, Doretta. I remember her well from Lourdes Parish, and one of the quilters, with my Mom, who created such beauties, and contributed financially to the Parish Community. I can remember seeing all of you together at Mass, as it was a close-knit Parish Community and we all knew where each other sat in the Church, and in what grades everyone was in (in relation to oneself). I will keep her in my prayers, and will pray that you all have the consolation and peace that comes from our faith in the resurrection of Jesus - the great mystery of salvation we celebrate this weekend. God bless you all!
