I just read of Mr. Wilging's passing in The Record. I did not know him very well, yet was a friend of his son, Norbert, and daughter-in-law, Sherry, during my years at HP. We would see Mr. Wilging every year at Norbert's memorial golf tournament, and he would play every year. A very nice gentleman. I can only hope that I can play until my 90's too.
His passing made me think of Norbert and the good years we worked together. In fact, the annual tournament would have been played in a couple weeks ... but sadly cancelled again due to the pandemic (hopefully we will be back at it next year).
I will keep Norbert and Philip in my prayers. I believe they are together now, and playing another father-son match in heaven. RIP fellas.
