It is with profound loneliness that the family of Isaiah (aka Ike) Weber announce his departure from this life on the morning of Wednesday May 12, 2021, at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife, Avis Weber with whom he shared a deep love and devotion for 62 years, his beloved daughter, Lorrie Meehan (nee Weber) and his brother Amsey Weber. He is predeceased by his father, Daniel Weber, his mother, Judith Weber, three brothers, Enos Weber, Israel Weber, and Urias Weber and, recently, by his beloved son, Kenneth Weber. Ike loved and cherished his family, showing it in so many ways. His working years included tile drainage in Waterloo Region and mining in the Nickel Belt. He finally fulfilled his life dream of farming, spending thirty-three years on his farm in Temiskaming district.
Retirement gave him time for volunteer work as well as keeping in touch with the soil, creating a much-admired garden at his home on the shores of Lake Temiskaming. During these years, his talent for carpentry often showed up. In whatever work Ike’s hands found to do he found God-given joy, contentment, and satisfaction. His body now rests at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home.
