We , and all the others on Peacock Road, were shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's passing. Although we weren't close, we all shared that special Muskoka bond. We admire that he was a man who lived his life to the fullest! To leave this life so early is a lesson for the rest of us to make the most of our days and hours.
Sincere sympathy to you and all your family.
Larry and Carol-Lynne Smilsky 43A Peacock Road.

My family and my deepest condolences. Our prayers are with you and your family.
Paul was a good straightforward honest person. I have tonnes of respect for Paul. Paul always was a funny guy with jokes every time you seen him. I learned to admire and respect Paul early on after he showed me his honesty and charm.
I was saddened when he left BBC, but he let me know the golfing, boating and speeding was much better after retiring.

Cheryl, Bobby and Sam
We are so sorry to hear about Paul’s passing. He was a vibrant and generous man who always made everyone feel welcomed.
We have fond memories of hockey trips, visits to your cottage and “rock camp” where Chris and Bobby entertained us with their aspirations of stardom.
Although we haven’t connected in a while, we always kept abreast of life milestones though our children. Most of theses milestones are celebrations, but this one in particular is difficult to accept.
Please know that we are all thinking of you.
Richard & Jackie, Chris (Stephanie & Zoey), Stephanie (Craig) and Michael Roy.

Dear Cheryl, Sam and Bobby
We are thinking of you all during this sad time. Deanna and Lesley have so many wonderful memories of times spent at your cottage. There were many dinners, boat rides, times waterskiing, playing games, preparing for the regattas and all the other fun things one does at the cottage.
Cheryl, Paul and you were always so warm and welcoming.
We are so sorry for your loss.

Chris, Laura, Jean, and Cheryl,
I am so sorry that Paul is gone. I first met Paul at Chris' birthday party in Beaconsfield, in December 1965. Paul was there to and up to no good! I had a lot of fun with Paul growing up playing tensor golf or riding our bikes down the hill at the end of Blythe Road. I prefer to remember Paul the way he is pictured from the weekend the Clewes and Besant families spent together in 1976. The Besant's are very important to me. Chris, Paul, and Laura are like siblings and Jean and Al are like parents to me.

Paul will be remembered for his ability to make me laugh joyously. His sharp wit and sense of humour can not be matched by anyone. We met at the beginning of high school which included my best friend Cheryl. We were young - life was full of dreams and opportunities.
Embarking on careers, buying first homes, starting families, bringing up children, facing good times and bad- Paul was always the voice of reason. He was a rock for his family and friends. Paul enjoyed life, not one to dwell on misery, but rather look to the bright side. Paul strong sense of devotion to his family was admirable. Paul's strong sense of business was remarkable. Paul's sense of adventure was limitless and Paul's sense of love for Cheryl was endless.
Paul made a big impact on my family. He would coin term's like the "spanking machine" when the kids were young. I remember him commenting to Sammy, Bobby, Natalie & Tanya - "Don't make me bring out the spanking machine!" My goodness, the kids would squeal with laughter. Paul's ability to entertain the kids during the teenage years was simply amazing. He had the same amount of energy and mischief as they did.
Paul moved into retirement with enthusiasm and provided so much enjoyment to his circle of friends. Paul faced life's challenges during the past couple years with fierce determination and strength. He has left a legacy for all of us to remember, but mostly for Cheryl, Samantha & Bob.
Paul's memory will continue to bring a big smile to my face.
~The Thomson Family - Alan, Janet, Natalie & Tanya will miss you dearly~

I met Paul when we were both young and at the time he was someone to look up to because of the fast cars. quick wit and business skills far beyond his age and experience. Over the last roughly 35 years he continued to be a great example to me because of his dedication to his mother and family and his ability to live life at full speed enjoying every minute of it. I am a better person having known him. He will be missed.
