Our dearly departed mum Audrey, my sister Ruth and myself attended Peoples Church for years when we first returned from Sierra Leone; His Honour Ron, Miriam, Scott and Raquel were our good friends. Scott & I hung out and had a load of laughs; Raquel & I sewed dresses together. Miriam & Ron were particularly kind to us, and to our mother as a single mom. They also counselled us all from time to time, and befriended our dad when he came from Sierra Leone. I cannot put into words my gratefulness to both Ron and Miriam who truly walked the talk, advising on life decisions, etc. We love them so much. We all left that church, lost touch for a while but within the past 10 years or so have maintained long distance friendships. Ron and Miriam prayed for us daily for countless years, and were always interested in our lives. I am heartbroken over His Honour’s leaving this earth… but oh so glad and grateful for our incredible heritage in the Lord. After years of sharing the gospel in Mexico and other places, without any doubt there was a very loud “WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT” welcome greeting as he entered the presence of Jesus and our Heavenly Father. Miriam, I love you and am praying for you. May the Lord continue to hold you up as only He can. Heartfelt condolences to Scott & Raquel and their families. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Saint indeed. Psalm 116:15

Dearest Miriam, I know our Lord is happy to welcome the Chair of Culinary Delights to contribute to His table. What a wonderful man and Christian! I will always be thankful for his almost daily prayers with me, and for the encouragement and support you both offered me as I started my journey with Jesus. May Christ walk with you, Raquel and Scott in your grieving. Ron will always be in my heart, as are you. Much love and many prayers, Pam.

I was deeply saddened to read about the passing of Ron or His Honor as he was initially formally addressed in the Provincial Court some forty plus years ago. We were colleagues and friends. An incredibly respectful and humble man with a great sense of humor. Conversations about his mission trips with Miriam were boundless. If there was a way to hide those bibles that had to be distributed, they truly found a way. I will always remember Ron, Miriam, and also how proud they were of their children as they grew up. Ron was not only tall in stature but tall in humanity. He was loved and he will be missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Ron's passing. Over the past 3 years he has been one of my biggest cheerleaders as I went back to school to pursue my Masters degree. Every time we connected he was so interested in learning about what I was doing.
His contributions to our men's bible study were so much appreciated and I will always remember fondly our fellowship at Tim Hortons on Thursday mornings following our bible study. What a kind, loving and down to earth gentlemen you were and will forever be remembered as. Till we meet again my friend.

Oh Miriam Pastor Marshall and I were saddened to hear of Ron's home going. You were both so wonderfully kind to us as your pastors. We deeply appreciated your support, encouragement and hospitality! The seeds you have planted all around the world are now part of the reward that Ron is reaping in heaven. We will miss his "one of a kind" laugh and gentle way with people and our times of prayer together! He was a wonderful man who lived a blessed life with a very special wife. We love you Miriam! Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family during these days! Oh how he must be rejoicing today! xoxo

Hi Miriam, condolences to you and the family. I also knew Ron from the Thursday morning Bible study. Ron shared great truths about his Faith, experiences and the word of God. He blessed me and the group.
He also gave me a lot of advise when I start a business. Myself and my family are grateful him for that as it helped me avoid lots of mistakes.
We will miss Ron but thank God for the opportunity to have known him.

Oh Miriam. David and I are truly sorry to hear that Ron died. We remember that you always stood out in a crowd, for you truly were a stunning couple. We rejoiced when you joined our sunday school class and enjoyed whenever you would add something to the discussion.
We can well imagine that Ron heard the words from Jesus, "Well done thou good and faithful servant" when he walked through those gates.
Our prayers are with you.

I had the pleasure to get to know Ron through our small group Kingdom Men. He had a great sense of humour and nothing got by him during conversations. He wasn’t afraid to ask questions or push back in ways to make us think and discuss more. I will miss him in our group and we will surely miss his quick wit. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Miriam and Family,
We enjoyed getting to know Ron these past number of years as you both transitioned to the Waterloo area.
He was still very much a part of our Thursday morning group even though unable to attend in person over the last year.
We will miss him but give thanks that his faith has now been made sight. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers over the coming weeks and months.
