Obituary of Marilyn Joan Prudham
Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital – Freeport Campus on June 12, 2021 at the age of 81.
Loving wife of Wil for 60 years. Devoted mother of Heather (Rob) and Scott (Celia). Daughter of Emerson and Doris (Speed) Pointon, sister of Janis (Rob) Matheson. Will forever remain in the hearts of brother-in-law Arthur (Janet) Prudham, niece Laurel, nephews Brian, Keith, Kevin and Craig, and extended family and friends.
Marilyn lived in Owen Sound, Sauble Beach, and then in Kitchener-Waterloo. She worked as a legal secretary and was an instructor at Georgian College where she taught legal secretarial and computer skills. She volunteered for the Owen Sound YMCA and the Owen Sound General and Marine hospital auxiliary, then for the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. She was a member of the Probus Women’s Club of Waterloo. Marilyn loved to travel, and was an avid reader, an accomplished birder, and an excellent bridge player. She also loved to golf. She enjoyed OHL hockey and spent her more recent winters in Florida.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, on June 22, 2021 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. with a private family service immediately after. Personal face coverings are required.
