Obituary of Dianne McLean

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday June 22, 2021, at the age of 74.  Cherished and beloved wife of Ron McLean for 50 years. Lovingly remembered by her two boys, Jay (Andrea) in Waterloo and Jeff (Yeongmi) in Singapore, and “Nana” to Amanda & Julia, Ava & Henry. She will be missed by siblings Doug (Moira), Chris (Jayne), Pam (Ron), and Teresa (Tom), many nieces and nephews, cousins, and all extended family members.

Dianne was originally from Sullivan Township in Grey County near Chesley, Ontario. She moved to Waterloo Region where she worked for many years at the Bank of Montreal, and then Royal Bank with fond memories of her co-workers and interacting with customers. 

Known for her joke telling and great sense of humour, she liked to have fun and was often the sparkle in the room with the biggest smile on her face. She had a great appreciation for all genres of music, and also found peace in Elvis Presley’s gospel songs. Dianne also enjoyed travelling including some special family trips to South Korea, New York City, San Francisco as well as numerous cottages in the summer.

Dianne loved and really appreciated her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A private family funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
