Died peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 87.

Much loved husband of 51 years of Marlene (nee Rau). Beloved father to Dave (Meredith) and granddaughters Brooke and Lauren and Don (Mariesa) and granddaughter Quinn. Brother-in-law to Mark (JoAnn) and Debbie and cherished uncle to Ruth (Takis), Paul (Karen), Peter (Tonya), Joe (Allison) and Jenny (Jake). 

Henry was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and was a willing worker on the Church Properties Committee. He enjoyed figuring out solutions to problems which was part of his tool and die training and the design company he ran until his retirement. A love of travel took Henry & Marlene to many destinations around the world where they enjoyed local cuisine and adventures. Henry had a close relationship with his relatives where he enjoyed get-togethers which included harmonizing some of the old German folk songs. Henry was devoted to helping anyone and everyone which was embodied in 10 years of him delivering Meals on Wheels to those in need up until the pandemic.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday, June 30^th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. To attend the visitation, personal face coverings are required, and relatives and friends must register (RSVP) in advance by calling 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com. A private family funeral will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John Street West, Waterloo on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Joel Kuhl officiating. Family and friends are invited to view the livestream and recording of the funeral service at www.erbgood.com. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
