Christine Simard

“She left us in the early morn,

When softly came the dawn.”

A beautiful life taken too soon; Christine (Christy) died in a single car collision August 7th while returning home from enjoying a lakeside sunrise.

Left to mourn are her two beloved daughters Camille & Bethanie, the lights of her life. She leaves behind the wonderful father of her children Rob Good, her loving parents Mike & Bette Simard; her brother, Jeff, predeceasing her in March and her sister-in-law, Lisa, predeceased in 2019. Many aunts, uncles and cousins will grieve as will her special nieces Chanel & Nicole. Christy had deep friendships with nanny Julie & family, Adrienne, Katherine, Cheryl and Jax.

Christy was an inspiration to many and taught us many things such as the love of nature and the great outdoors; to be involved in the equality for women; to write your truth; to be a better creative writer; music/piano appreciation; the art of kindness and generosity.  But most of all she was a momma bear who always put her girls in the centre of her life.  She leaves them a legacy full of love, inspiration and wonderful life memories.

In keeping with Christy’s wishes, her ashes will be united with the great outdoors.

“Love, all alike, no season knows, nor clime, nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time.”

John Donne

Our love will never change – always & forever!

There will be a private Visitation and Service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Cloverleaf Foundation via etransfer to roberta@cartergroup.org

Contact the same email for a charitable receipt.  The family will choose a local charity for the funds, fitting with Christy’s wishes.
