Obituary of Paulette Cecile Vogel
Paulette Cecile Vogel (nee Colombo), born April 27, 1946, ended her battle with cancer peacefully at Innisfree Hospice on August 22, 2021.
Paulette is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Helmut, daughters and sons in law, Deborah and Todd, Victoria and Jim, Marjorie, Jennifer and Jeff, grandchildren Simon, Jacob, Calvin, Alec, Grace, Nicole, Devon and Piper and great granddaughter Ivy. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Rose and predeceased by her parents Marguerite and Paul Colombo and sister Marilee.
Paulette loved to dance with Helmut whenever the opportunity arose and this was one of her last wishes that she achieved. A game of cribbage or euchre was a daily ritual over her and Helmut's many years together.
She loved to travel. From a longtime snowbird in Florida, to cruising a variety of destinations, she and Helmut had many adventures.
As a fixture on the garage sale circuit, Paulette was always bargaining her way to an amazing deal to share with friends and family.
She was a strong women who stood up not only for herself, but her friends and family whenever they asked her assistance.
Before retirement, Paulette was an engaged and creative Girl Guide leader and in recent years spent alot of time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She relished every opportunity to share her wisdom with the young.
Paulette will be cremated and the family will receive friends and family at a Celebration of Life to be announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations directly to Innisfree House, 2375 Homer Watson Blvd. Kitchener N2P 0E9 or 519-208-5055.
