On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the age of 64, after a 10-year battle with cancer, Ross passed away peacefully at home, with his wife and children by his side.

Loving husband of Gloria (nee Weigel) for 42 years.  Cherished father of Tamara and Brandon. Survived by his Aunt Betty, his 3 brothers, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Mary Weirmier and in-laws Margarete and Wolfgang Weigel.

Ross was born and raised in Waterloo, where he met and married Gloria in 1979. They enjoyed spending their time together bowling in a league, going out to dinner and the movies and enjoyed travelling together to many southern destinations. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards, bonfires, beach parties, hockey games, family events and their annual new years eve party.

Together they raised two beautiful children Tamara and Brandon. Ross was a 2nd class stationary engineer at Chemtura where he worked for 30+ years. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid Blue Jays fan and Kitchener Rangers season ticket holder for numerous years; always cheering on his team. Ross enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Sauble Beach, touring around the neighborhood on his golf cart. He enjoyed bird watching and spent much of his time in his final years watching the birds at the feeders while at the cottage.

Thanks to the GRH Cancer Center, Dr. Valdes, Dr. Jakda, Dr. Kuk and Dr. Boutell and community palliative care nurse Bernadette for their excellent care and compassion throughout his journey.
