Obituary of Barbara Anne Parrott

Barbara Anne Parrott (McLachlan) RN, passed away peacefully at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Facility on August 27, 2021.  She is survived by her husband of 59 plus years, David Parrott, her children Brenda (Steve) Leis of Waterloo and Ian Parrott (Helen) of Toronto, grandchildren Amy, Kaitlyn, Vanessa, Peter and Andrew Leis and Olivia Parrott.  She is also survived by her nieces Cheryl (Sarah) McLachlan, Wendy (Tex) Wilson and her nephew Kevin (Lisa) McLachlan all of the London area.  She is also pre-deceased by her parents John (Jack) McLachlan and Hope (Smibert).

Barb was a graduate of the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in London and was on the staff of Victoria Hospital for several years.  She resigned to become a full time home maker and mother.  She was active in the U.C.W. and church choir in Fort Frances and Lindsay and presided over the Welcome Table at First United Church in Waterloo for several years.  She also volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and was a member of the Restaurant and Health Care Committees at Luther Village.

Funeral Service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11am.  To attend the funeral service please RSVP through the funeral home www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.  For those not able to attend in person, the family invites you to join a livestream broadcast of the funeral service at www.erbgood.com at service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or the Millennium Fund at First United Church in Waterloo and may be arranged through the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Home for the care that Barb received while a resident there.
