Darcy Ronald Spencer, 94, of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2021.

A private funeral service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 3:00 with Reverend Tim Graham of Calvary Memorial United Church officiating. A link to the live stream of the funeral service is available at the top of this page.

Darcy is survived by his beloved wife Norma, his son Ron and daughter Cathy. He will be sadly missed by all seven of his grandchildren – Rob, Greg, Jeff, Katie, Matt, Emily and John and his two great-grandchildren – Jordan and Miles.

Darcy/Dad/Papa will be remembered as a man of love.  He loved his family and his friends.  He loved his garden, his work, and his church.  He was a leader of young men in the scouting program for over 25 years and a leader and author of countless plays and pageants.  He loved Algonquin Park and led hundreds of men, boys and family canoeing over many, many years. He loved summering at Southampton and loved putting as many grandchildren as possible into whatever cottage was available.  He loved focusing on others.  It was never about him.
