Obituary of Marjorie Lucille Witzel

Marjorie Lucille Witzel passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario in her 81st year, with her two sons and their spouses by her side. 

Predeceased by her loving husband Douglas Witzel, sister-in-law Carol Roussel (Witzel) and her husband Donald Roussel, brother-in-law David Witzel (Edie) mother-in-law Vera Witzel (nee Gaiser), father-in-law John (Jack) Witzel. 

She was an amazing mother to Paul Witzel (Lu Ann) and Robert Witzel (Krisztina). Marjorie was born in Kitchener to Emory and Selena Zehr (nee Kipfer) on July 7, 1941, and was the youngest of three children, Lester Zehr (Elva) and Clifford Zehr (Jean). 

Dearly loved by nieces Sandy Zehr, Brenda Eudoxie (Zehr), Sherry Shaule (Roussel), Karen Teminski (Roussel), Sandy Tervala (Witzel) and nephews John Witzel, Donald Zehr, Gerald Zehr and Gregory Zehr. 

She was a member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church in Kitchener and had a successful career in sales. She looked forward to many annual family trips to Myrtle Beach and spending as much time as she could with the family at their cottage at Belwood Lake. 

At the family's request, there will be a private visitation on Saturday October 23, 2021 at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, with internment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave, Waterloo. 

A very special thank you to Dr. Nethercott and the entire staff at Grand River Hospital for the loving care they gave to mom during her final days. Also, a very special thank you to Amanda Jantzi and the entire staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Home for their amazing care during her years there.
